Rice village in Houston looks so cosy when it gets dark. It has the atmosphere of a small village indeed.

I let myself go with the colors, I loved to paint the lights, keeping tonal value in mind. It turned out a bit abstractlike, that is because my right hand is in a cast for a few weeks (nothing serious). I tried painting with left but the lines, and actually all the brushstrokes, get all wobbly. I didn't like that at all so now, without being able to bend my wrist, I manage to paint. And I learn to paint with less details, it's a win-win :)
